Bonjour / Hello
Paris pas “Paris” is a nod to the locals and an invitation to respectful outsiders to experience the city beyond its most famous landmarks.
Through bespoke tours and unique products, Paris pas “Paris” shines light on overlooked neighborhoods and the people who give them life. The goal is to expand how visitors see Paris and to rally appreciation for the city’s lesser-known, deeply magical corners.
Paris pas “Paris” was created by Ariel Elias, an American designer with Lebanese and Palestinian roots who moved to Paris in 2023 after meeting her now husband in the City of Light. Ariel initially resided in the 18th arrondissement and was shocked by the perplexed reactions to her relocation:
“You moved from New York to live on Barbès??”
Yes — she did, and it was the best decision she ever made.
Ariel studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and went on to work in advertising for years. When traditional work proved elusive, she decided to build her own thing, something that fused her two passions: creativity and connection.
With Paris pas “Paris,” she hopes to share the beauty, culture, and community of the real Paris as she comes to discover it herself.
Come see Paris, not just “Paris.”
